Using Small Talk with Families of Very Small Hearing Impaired Children
by Suzanne Harrigan, Speech & Language Therapist, The Ear Foundation, Nottingham, UK
Small Talk is a resource for the families of newly identified deaf babies and professionals who support them. By helping parents to understand the vital role they play in promoting spoken language development the Small Talk package will help to lay the foundations for successful cochlear implant, Baha® and hearing aid use. This session will explore how the Small Talk package can be used to support early parent-baby communication.
