Online - Conducting MRI with a Nucleus Cochlear Implant
10 September 2010
Barry Nevison, Clinical Technical Support Manager, Cochlear Europe
The use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is now a routine clinical tool and there is no reason why CI-recipients would be any less likely to require this procedure at some point in their life.
This session will provide guidance on undertaking MRI with each model of Nucleus Cochlear Implant. It will present a recommended procedure and highlight the necessary steps to minimize discomfort for the patient and maximise image quality for the radiologist.
