Nucleus Introductory CI Course

21-22 September 2010

Learning Outcomes:

This two-day course will provide the core knowledge required to practice as a CI clinician. The format will be a mixture of presentations and practical sessions with the Nucleus clinical software.

This course will provide information on:

  • CI Assessment, selection considerations and criteria
  • The complete Nucleus CI system product portfolio
  • Nucleus Custom Sound programming software, including practical sessions with recipients
  • The parameters to consider when programming the sound processor and the steps involved in initial and subsequent programming sessions
  • Troubleshooting the external equipment
  • The role of (re) habilitation at the pre-operative and post-operative stages of the CI process

This course will be followed by the EP I Masterclass where the foundations of obtaining NRT-measurements will be discussed and practiced. We would strongly suggest to follow this one-day course after the Introductory Course

Who Should attend:

Clinicians who have a basic knowledge of implants and little/no experience programming of CI recipients.
