16-17 March 2010
Learning Outcomes:
This two-day course will provide the core knowledge required to practice as a CI clinician. The format will be a mixture of presentations and practical sessions with the Nucleus clinical software.
This course will provide information on:
· CI assessment, selection considerations and criteria
· The complete Nucleus CI system product portfolio
· Nucleus Custom Sound programming software, including practical sessions with recipients
· The parameters to consider when programming the sound processor and the steps involved in initial and subsequent programming sessions
· Troubleshooting the external equipment
· The role of (re)habilitation at the pre-operative and post-operative stages of the CI process
This course will be followed by the EP I Masterclass where the foundations of obtaining NRT-measurements will be discussed and practiced. We would strongly suggest to follow this one-day course after the introductory course.
Who should attend: Clinicians who have a basic knowledge of implants and little/no experience programming of CI recipients.
